Fishing

The Okavango River plays host to a healthy fish population and offers some of the best sport fishing in Africa. The Tiger Fish hunts in the crystal clear open waters which offer unforgettable fishing, for the novice and experienced angler alike. The lodge has five well equipped fishing boats, each one skippered by well trained and experienced fishing guides.

Birding

Guests at the lodge will have the opportunity to enjoy guided, boating excursions on the Okavango River to admire the abundant birdlife, perhaps taking more time to search for some of the more rare and endemic bird species (Pel’s Fishing Owl, African Skimmer, White Backed Night Heron, Narina Trogon, to name but a few). It is a true birder’s paradise! Crocodiles and hippos abound in this river system as well as the rare Sitatunga antelope.

Day Trips

The Lodge offers day trips to the majestic Tsodilo Hills, to view the impressive Bushman Paintings from a time gone by. A mere one hour’s drive away, you will be driven by our professional guides and enjoy a guided tour through the Hills, followed by a picnic lunch, before returning to the lodge in the late afternoon. There is also an opportunity for game-viewing in the Mahangu National Park, just across the border into Namibia. Day trips leave from the lodge and guests are provided with a packed lunch, to enjoy whilst exploring
